I WILL BE

Stormy this road might be

I will still carry on

Heavy this load might seem

I will still persist

 

In the deepest and darkest

Forest of ideas I wonder

Seeming to lose sense of direction

 

To all sides I look

Hoping to glance at luck

So as not to fall back

To where my heart got stuck

 

To vain will I not give my strength?

Never again to pull strings

That take to no depth

 

My eyes fixed to the stars

My hands reaching up for the sky

The heart racing for the moon that stares

 

 I will be there one day

Everyone will have to see me

To see me shine for the world

During the moonless nights

And during the sunless days

As purposed by the great I AM

 

I will be who I’m meant to be

The factor of change

The banner barrier

The salt and light of the world.

Because HE lives in me
