With brightness and with happiness
The moon shines tonight
In clear skies, it is ruling the night
Very round, very white
The king of the night
On his throne high above
The moon shines with authority tonight
It's the month of our Lord
It's a December night
And I desire no sun
For the moon is shining bright
Let it shine, let it snow
Making the earth white
Cleaning, clearing our hearts
For the king is coming
The bells ring, prayers go up
Songs of joy sung
I can't help but stare
At the glory of the moon
As it gives it's best to welcome the king
Let it shine, king of the night
Exercise authority as bestowed unto you
For the brighter one is at hand
Oh what might and power
