IN THE MORNING

In the morning as I rise
To the silence of the mist and the dew
and the gentle smile of the moon
Let me know you are close to  my house
Oh Lord of heaven

As the world gets on it's feet
I will fall on my knees Oh Lord
And lift my feeble hands and heart
To the glory of the heavens above
A sinner's prayer to say
Mercy, love and forgiveness to ask

In the morning dear Lord
Before the cruel touch of the sun
That caresses my rough skin all day long
To make it cry out the waters underneath to chill the heat
I will pray that you lean down dear father
And kiss my brow, and kiss my cheek
You know I need your touch

Through the night, when the stars awake
To light up the sky for your shining glory
I lay vulnerable and quiet in my bed
Where only your love keeps me safe
as far from danger as Satan is;
from the glory of heaven

In the morning, in the clod morning
Will I find you by my side dear Lord?
To wake up to your sweet smile
That tender touch;
that make the sinner breakdown and cry
Not because of the fierce paws of judgment
But because of the tender touch of love

The cloud covers the sun
and the streets are free
As empty as my stomach in the morning
I feel the peaceful state of the day
For man is not awake
In the morning dear Lord
That's when I want to talk
To talk to the most listening ears

In the morning when I rise
May you be by my side, may u be my strength
Through the tussle and hustle of the day
I will not break, for u will hold me
And when I lay my head down again
May I still rise with u the next morning.
In the morning, dear Lord, in the morning.

THEIR CRIES

I hear them cry, their voices ring
My heart mourns, my song breaks
I know it's them, there is no mistake

The voices of the little ones
As they ask why?
As they beg for what is theirs;
their gift from God.
Their one life.

Please have mercy
I'm your son
I'm your daughter
I need to live
Just as you also do
Have mercy mom, Don't kill me.

Why the little ones, the innocent souls?
What crime, what offense?
By which their breath, to them denied.

To death, you have given your sons
To the Hades, your daughters are gone.
Using your hands to serve cruelty
For from your wombs, they are expelled
To death, they are exiled.
But why?

Why abort that little soul?
As innocent as you were.
As gentle as the morning breeze.
You have taken her soul.
You have killed him.
You are guilty.

You have allied with the devil.
Forgetting, you are still a mortal.
He is not your friend.
He has taken your son.
You have given him your daughter
And your reward will be shame and guilt.

MY SONG OF JOY

Across the mountains
My Lord runs the fountains
Deep down in the forest
The birds sing his praises
As the day dreams off to night
Nature cries out loud
The mighty king of heaven
His majesty reigns on high

The sun calls out to my sleepy eyes
To tell it's morning given by the great I AM
I will shout out of joy and out of love
For an unstoppable force in me
Can move an unmovable object in my way

In the days gone by and in the days yet to come
I will look up to the heavens and await his coming
As he never gave his word in vain
When he said I will return

Nature sings out loud, can you hear it praise?
The music of the valley, the blossom of the flower
At break of day I will sing, I will sing
At the wake of the night I will shout
I will shout out my song of joy
And all nature will follow suit
For the Lord has loved me so

When my day grew darker and my feet got stuck
The Lord showed up with an attack
That gave the evil one no choice but to flee
And not even leave his track

So, I will praise the king of glory
Who rescues my soul
When all I have is but gone
I know he will stay by my side
As he has always done

Come and join me, come and join me
The earth will know he reigns in me
The earth must know he reigns in us
When the heavens and the earth;
bow in acknowledgment of his glory
When my Lord shows up
I will burst out in more joy
A triumphant return, the king of glory on high

Let me sing to the hills
Don't try to stop my heels
My Lord is king of all
What can't you see now?
Jesus the lamb of God
You saved my soul
And I will praise you all of my days
In my song of Joy
