FRANK'S LAMENTATIONS PART 1

This world has gone from bad to worse. Someone can have enough food, to even throw away some, yet there is a poor soul that has nothing. This person may not be aware of a soul in need of the food or may not be able to reach it, or may not even take time to do so. What an imbalance?? Church preaches prosperity and offering which is good and biblical, but it neglects the important bit of being God's vessels to reach out to those in need spiritually and physically. Love is preached but not practiced!!  U cannot be a brother, sister, mother or father in Christ when u cannot stand with me when I'm in need. Giving is not out of abundance, it's out of love and sacrifice. Where are the true believers? where are the true sons of the kingdom? Where are the true members of the body of Christ? The love for the pleasures of this earth has over taken the love for the church and now people seek God for wealth and what we want him to do for us and not because he is God. Today if we are to put a balancing scale and on one end we put God,  on the other end we put Education, house, family, one's life, popularity, showbiz, fan, name it. The scale on which God stands will be outweighed by only one of the above. Today we don't have love to die for our faith. We don't have love for our faith to defy family requirements, education needs, wealth desires, which can be parallel to the gospel. Sometimes I come to think there is no church, there is no body of believers at all. The poor in church seek to take advantage of the rich, the rich in church want to boast, or show off. People want to go to "big" churches with big congregations where they cannot even get to know the person sitting right beside them. No more sharing of sorrow, pain, or happiness among the believers.

Then I ask myself a question, how many of us are Christ like? How many of us are going to heaven? How many are pure in heart? I don't mean having no sin, I mean loving God and the kingdom of God genuinely and having it at heart. Remember God sees the heart. I even no longer share my troubles with the so called Christians because I know everyone seeks after their own desires. Few can really stand in another's shoes and try to feel what the other person feels. They will always be like,"I can feel what u say brother, I know what u are going through, we shall pray for u". It's fine to pray, but then God uses us! I think the best thing to say to a brother sharing a problem should be,"how can I help?"  You don't have to be rich, you can help in anyway. Now one can say 'but praying is also helping.'  Yeah, but we have learnt to use that as away out and think "he will get someone to help him after I have prayed" Now, what kind of vessel are you? And without fully understanding what your friend is going through, you cannot know the urgency of love and a helping hand in that person's life.

Sometimes I feel alone, I feel like I'm the only one who is listening to the cries of those of my kind. From the ghettos of Africa to the streets of America. If Africa is more in need physically, the west is more in need spiritually. We have erased the gospel of the kingdom of God from our preaching. All we tell people is God loves you, God died for you, God has better plans for you, God can heal, repent and follow Christ ,and the like. That's true and very true, but what is the all reason of preaching this? What was the whole reason Jesus came? It was to tell and prepare us for the Kingdom of God. Lets start to focus on the Kingdom of God. Some Christians don't even know what the kingdom of God is. All they know is that Jesus died for them and after death they are going to heaven, absurd!! Let us start to focus on the Kingdom of God and may be we will learn to "love" as Jesus loved, we will learn to care beyond the "care" we have been acting out. We will yearn for the Kingdom and things of this world will be put as second priority, after all we shall take none to the grave.

Brother, sister, Mother and Father, can u start going to church to meet fellow believers and family members and take time to know who they really are? Can you start loving just because you love and because it's God's nature to love which God you claim to be in you? Can you start to give not because you have much, or you want God to bless you, or you want to act holy? But give because there is need and because you love? Can you start to lift those hands in worship and prayer knowing there is someone who is watching, listening and receiving the worship other than man? Can you get to know that people don't only need your finances but also need you? Can you stop to think you will only be given because you think you have nothing to give? Can you stop going to Church looking for whom to beg? but go to church to pray to God and share your genuine needs with the believers? I may be writing from a young and inexperienced mind, but at least I'm writing from a human heart that feels.  I can go on and on, but a word to a wise person is always enough. Jesus said,"...let those who have ears listen to what the spirit says......"

WHAT REALLY MATTERS

I have come to realize that it doesn't matter where u were born, where u grew up from, what matters is where ur love and heart is. Of recent, my heart and my love has extended to America, in homes I have never been, with people I have never physically met. I have come to realize we are not much different, we are all humans separated by distance, culture and what we have been made to believe. Our differences in culture and way of life are just a reflection of nature's beauty, as there are variety of fish in the lake, birds in the air, and flowers in the wilderness, all different but their difference does not take away the fact that they are fish, birds or flowers, but it just reflects the beauty of the almighty God. Sometimes I feel like I'm living in Uganda but, truly living in America with those I love dearly or living in different places from where I am.

I have realized that when we get together in love in the kingdom of God, we lose our identities we where born with, of being an American, Ugandan, Korean, so on, and become people with one identity found in God based on love. We start to feel that our loyalty is more towards our brothers and sisters in the kingdom of God than to the countries, cultures and people we are born. Our old self ceases to exist and the new self finds it's existence in Christ.

When I was praying in the morning, I realized that nothing is really very important if it finds no importance in the presence of my God. I realized that true importance and worth of existence is found in being at peace with God. When our vertical relationship is proper, all our horizontal relationships will find meaning and all we do will find worth. Have u ever felt so empty? down cast? and wondered why u are living? Sometimes life can make no sense, or make a lot of it that drives one crazy. Scientists, geologist, theologists among others have tired to make a lot of sense out of life from the human point of view and they have confused themselves.

We are born to live on earth to enjoy the fruits of God's love, peace, joy and happiness. All these will come as a result of how we relate with those around us in the name of the Lord. All that we do in His name will bring a sense of satisfaction and worth. Money, education, property cannot and will never get us what our souls truly need. What will really make life worthy living are the relationships we have or God has made us have and the way we handle them. When u love a young man in Africa, those teens in US, and some other person in some other place, and u do it in the name of the Lord, there is worth and peace in that, there is togetherness, there is importance. And u will feel at home when u think of what is even far from home.  The kingdom of God has no boundaries. we the citizens live in no boundaries. We love and live everywhere, just in fellow citizens' hearts and souls.

A person's life is just as that of the caterpillar. It is born ugly, crawls in the dust, it's harmful to the people and everyone hates it. The hair of the caterpillar causes skin to itch. Sometimes the caterpillar doesn't intend to cause the skin to itch, but it has no choice, that's the way it was born. Or sometimes this happens in self defense. The caterpillar can easily be crashed on the ground coz it cannot run fast enough or it has no value. So, when we are born, we are just life the caterpillar, very dangerous, yet sometimes we don't intend to be. But what makes a difference in the caterpillar's life is when it decides to go into transformation. It becomes a pupa, it hangs unto a wall and seems to die off. To me the caterpillar seems to get weary of it's nasty life, and decides to wait upon God for a transformation. It will not move or do anything.  But it just waits upon God, and surely God shows up and a transformation begins. The once a caterpillar becomes the beautiful butterfly. It never again walks on the ground but flies, it never again itches peoples skins, it becomes an object of beauty. It becomes changed and it feels the worth of living.

In all our lives, we need to reach a point and get tired of our dangerous lives. Lives both dangerous to us and to those around us. And then we have to go to the place of waiting upon the Lord intently for a transformation that will make our lives worthy living, that will bring us to the family of God and we start to become the object of his beauty. We have to choose.

We already made a choice, to belong to the family of God. we have had the chance to know God and be his children. We may not be able to love all the children of the Kingdom, but at least we can love those we have known. This will make life worthy living and everything we do will have importance. Put love in everything u do. Do whatever u do for love's sake. For we are past the early stages of the caterpillar, we might be at the stages of transformation and soon we shall become butterflies and fly away.

U want to feel worth and importance in ur years and all u do, do all things because u love. Look up to God for worth. Find ur peace in God's word. Sometimes we read the bible just to get instructions. we treat God as an authoritarian, but we should read the word for purposes of hearing and knowing what our good Lord has to say, hear his voice, and feel his love in his word. We may not have all we need in this world, but we have God, we have each other, we have loved ones around us. loved ones besides those we share a DNA, and that makes life worthy living.

For I feel worth and importance when I love, when I write to u and tell u I love u, when I feel like I want to hug u and tell u Christ our father loves u and me. I feel worth when I sit down on the table and eat with brothers and sisters in Christ, both spiritual and physical food. I feel worth when I do the work of God not as a task, but as a blessing that will bring joy to my soul. That worth is then reflected and follows me in other earthly duties and responsibilities I have to take on. Loving people, loving u, makes me feel worthy. That's y when I don't love as I should, I get miserable in everything I do. I thing that's y many people live miserable lives. Love is one big thing, that will make our hearts forever big.

I pray that Christ teaches us how to love as he loves, coz we need to learn from the master, as a Luganda saying goes that the older bird teaches the young ones how to fly.

I love u Sister/brother

ANOTHER DAY

There will be another day
The birds will sing softer
The stars will shine brighter
The flowers will blossom
And the streams will flow calmer

There will be another day
I will dream bigger
I will dream better
I will fight harder
And I will win the battle

For the sun will shine on me
The trees will dance for me
And the wind make me music
For it will be another day

Today is hard, today is sad
But tomorrow is another day
Today I cry, today I mourn
But tomorrow the Lord will show up

My eyes will stay open
My heart will keep beating
My lips singing a song of victory
My hard said prayers will go up

For tomorrow I will stand again
Tomorrow I will hope once more
Tomorrow I will try again
Tomorrow I will shine
For the Lord God reigns on high.
